A regional full-service middle market investment bank with nationwide locations and a European banking partnership.

Scope:

As a trusted search partner, SLA and the client brainstormed a “rolling retainer” for this open-ended project given the complexity that often underscores senior banking hiring.

This firm retained SLA at the start of the year to expand coverage on their diversified industrials team. They sought 2-3 senior bankers (Managing Director level) with existing books of business in industrial services, paper/packaging, and machinery & equipment – both with privately-owned companies as well as private equity- and sponsor-backed businesses.

SLA’s Approach:

The SLA team targeted bankers who sought domain specialization in their subsectors on an entrepreneurial platform – in other words, those who wanted to play a part in crafting this up-and-coming firm’s growth narrative.

SLA successfully placed three (3) industrials coverage Managing Directors in under 18 months.

Given the efficient success of this search, this client then retained SLA to build out their financial sponsor business.
