High-Yield Credit Principal

Client:

A global alternative investment platform with three distinct strategies: direct lending, special opportunities, and high-yield credit.

Scope:

A senior member of this firm’s HR team reached out to us directly via our website. Following our introductory presentation, which outlined our strong investment management track record, this new client engaged us on an exclusive assignment.

SLA’s Approach:

A follow-up conversation with the senior HR executive enabled us to collaboratively gameplan the method for this key growth hire: a principal-level credit analyst for the firm’s New York-based high-yield team.

SLA targeted candidates with experience in high-yield/investment-grade credit, credit ratings, and sell-side leveraged finance, presenting individuals from all backgrounds to our client for interview processes.

Result:

The search was a success: from client introduction to offer signing, SLA closed the placed candidate within 47 days.

Overall, SLA introduced 30 candidates, with 13 progressing to the case study, six advancing to final rounds, and one receiving an offer.

After taking some time to onboard this principal, the firm has recently asked SLA to make an additional hire for their New York office, the specifics of which are highly confidential.
