Head of Healthcare & Life Sciences: Investor Relations

Client:

A global investor relations firm with strong investment research capabilities and a legacy relationship with SLA.

Scope:

With ambitious goals to grow their U.S. business,  this firm retained SLA to find a Managing Director to run their investor relations and investment research practice within the healthcare space.

The ideal candidates for this role had existing books of business and strong connectivity in the healthcare industry, primarily within biotech, life sciences, and medical technology (medtech).

Our client shared a potential preference for candidates with backgrounds in equity research but were also open to different backgrounds given SLA’s industry expertise.

SLA’s Approach:

Exclusivity on this assignment ensured a streamlined process. SLA reached out to our network in corporate affairs, corporate development, investor relations, and equity research – all, of course, within the healthcare sector.

Shortly after launching the search, SLA presented a shortlist of five extremely well-qualified candidates to the client.

This placement has since received promotion to a leadership role within the firm, significantly growing their U.S. franchise.
